brochettes-24117 What’s cooking in our kitchen?

The Pepper Pot Centre’s kitchen is open from 12.30-1.30pm. Delicious freshly cooked, hot and nutritious African and Caribbean meals are available every day, from Monday-Friday, at £3.75 for members and £4.50 for non-members.

Marcia Edwards is our Head Chef – and her cooking is very popular. Her family hails from Barbados and she has inherited the very best of her mum’s tasty Caribbean cooking secrets. “The magic is in how you mix the Caribbean flavours and the subtleties of traditional herbs and spices,” Marcia says. Her signature dish is Caribbean stewed chicken, rice and peas. Other favourites with the users include vegetarian dishes ranging from macaroni pie, curried quorn with potatoes to a medley of roast vegetables.

The Centre also caters for housebound members of our community as well as for any other community groups who may require meals for their service users or staff.
